Paulson, Edith (27 AUG 1871 - 3 OCT 1947)

Mrs. Edith Paulson, 76, whose home was at 191 West Fifth St., Neillsville (Clark Co., Wis.), died at her home Friday afternoon, Oct. 3, after an illness of many months. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Cole Funeral Home, the Rev. N. J. Dechant, pastor of the Zion Evangelical and Reformed Church, officiating. Burial was in the Neillsville Cemetery.

Mrs. Paulson was born Edith Anderson, daughter of John and Elizabeth Anderson, Aug. 27, 1871, near Nasonville in Wood County. Her early life was spent in that community. On April 21, 1894, she was married at Marshfield to Peter Paulson. They resided on a farm at Nasonville until 1910, when they moved to Marshfield. In 1912, they moved to Neillsville, where Mr. Paulson was engaged in the garage business. He died Jan. 21, 1933.

Surviving are two children, Agnes and Arthur, both at home. Also surviving are two brothers, Fred Anderson of Shelton, Wash., and Eugene Anderson of Los Angeles, Calif., and three sisters, Mrs. Ella Ford of Minneapolis, Minn., Mrs. Ben Florence of Tacoma, Wash., and Mrs. Kathryn Breed of Elizabeth Ind.

Pallbearers were: David Parry, E. H. Snyder, W.F. Dahnert, Otto Weyhmiller, Ed Kutchera and Frank Zimmer. The songs requests: "Beautiful Isle of somewhere" and "Rock of Ages", were sung be Mrs. Helen Smith, with Mrs. Kathryn Cole, accompanist.

Among those from out of town were: Mrs. Edward Vance, Springfield, Oh.; Mrs. Charles Myslic, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Schultz and Mrs. Elmer Chichering, Waukesha; Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Paulson, Mrs. Carried Paulson, Mrs. Jack Wolff and Miss Lilly Johnson, all of Marshfield; Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Cattanach, Owen; Mrs. D. S. Rausch, Granton; and Frank Schultz, town of Sherwood.
